Welcome to the John's Family of Stores!

The John's family of stores dates back to 1978 when John Sensenig, an avid runner, got tired of driving to a 'big city' for good running shoes and expert shoe advice and fitting.  So he opened his own small specialty store.  John's Run/Walk shop is now a Lexington tradition whether you Run, Walk or just want to shop for comfy shoes.

By providing excellent service and great shoes, John's has grown and grown over the last 28 years.  Using the same idea of having a good product and knowledgeable, helpful people to help you find the right product for you, John's has grown to five separate stores in the Lexington area so your feet can be comfortable no matter if you need good shoes for work, going out, running a marathon, or treating  foot problems such as plantar fasciitis.  We specialize in hard-to-fit feet and will gladly take the time with you to find you the shoes you need.
